S.B.T. is a family run company, which opened for business in 1965. We began in a small shop in Stockport town centre, where we soon established a reputation for the supply of quality used machinery backed up by product knowledge and engineering skills.

After years of extremely hard work we were approached by Jones Sewing Machine Company, who were the European importers of a Japanese machine called Brother; they appointed us agents for their machines. From then on the company went from strength to strength, moving premises three times to its present location in Stockport, near Manchester, which is home to many of the internationally known textile research and technology facilities.

With a very experienced and highly skilled workforce dedicated to fulfilling the customer's needs, we are ready to meet all the requirements of today's challenging industry.

In 1988 we opened a new branch in Glasgow, Scotland and we were appointed sole distributor for Mitsubishi and Kansai Special Machines.

Both Stockport and Scotland offices offer a full range of both new and quality used sewing, cutting & pressing equipment, from a wide range of manufacturers. We also have a large, fully stocked spares department, to cover all our products.
